Safety Dance Webinar Documents
On Friday, April 9th, ACUI Region 1 hosted the Safety Dance webinar. 16 colleges from around the region, New York & New Jersey phoned in to discuss challenges and best practices around on-campus dances. Panelists included Kevin May, Associate Risk Management Advisor from United Educators; Mary Ann Phillips, Assistant to the Director of Public Safety at Northeastern University and Kim Schwarz, Event Production Manager at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. The webinar began with a short presentation by each panelist and then was opened up for Questions & Answers. Much of the discussion was around off-campus guest policies, security protocols and space limitations. The attendees and panelists were able to provide feedback and input in a constructive and informative way. Many of the attendees followed up with the organizers to say how much they enjoyed the webinar and it really helped them evaluate their current policies and protocols.
